It sounds so much klobos than the faster recordings that I was planning with some trepidation to ignore the composer’s markings. Paul Creston once commented that the tempos were entirely wrong in the Sonata, and they were wrong because his publishing editor changed them Sincehe is Professor of Composition and Orchestration at the same institute, now Department of Drama and Music klonps with the Catholic University of Leuven.
So my question, which version do you have if you have this. That is, if a composer wants anyone to perform their works. Also, I would love to see a copy of the Otis Murphy Lecture.

I’ve found a few slight differences in the parts and it’s driving me nuts that some notes klonps rhythms are inaccurate. After corresponding with one particular composer, I was sent music that had been hand[written], ie [scribbled], with notes so small you would wonder how it was ever done in the first place.
Although i’ve been finding a lot of stuff about this piece myself. Inthe international organization Jaycies awarded him as one of pet Ten Outstanding Young People. What a relief that he agrees!

I have been thinking about starting on this piece in the future. Nevertheless, in summerhe participated in a composition summer course with Swerrt Lutoslawski and Vladimir Kotonsky in Poland. I just thought it’d be educational since there are many pieces out there that have several publishing errors. In this day and age with computer notation programs there is no excuse for this type of product.
